Wat Leng Nei Yi 2, Nonthaburi, Bangkok, Thailand

One of the most fabulous Chinese temples in Thailand is called “Wat Leng Nei Yi 2”. It is located in the Bangbua Tong district of Nonthaburi province, which it takes hours drive from downtown Bangkok. The “Wat Leng Nei Yi 2” temple indicates that it is the second of the original temple that’s located in the Yaowarat (Chinatown) area. Due to the massive amount of visitors to the temple and space for expansion is limited in the prime real estate area of Yaowarat, the temple expanded to Nonthaburi by a brand new and grandiose building.
Wat Leng Nei Yi 2 has an area of 4.6 acre, and its construction took 12 years with a cost of over 1 billion Baht! The temple was opened to the public on March 20th 2008, with the crowned prince presiding over the opening ceremony. The temple is build true to the Mahayana Buddhist tradition with its traditional Chinese architectural designs and Feng Shui discipline.

The temple is a good place for worship for those who are Mahayana Buddhist or even Theravada Buddhists. It’s also a tremendous place for a day tour to take beautiful pictures for your collection. It takes over an hour to walk through the whole compound, and if you feel hungry there are lots of restaurants outside the temple offering traditional Thai dishes!
 How to get there
the best way to get there is no other than taxi. Before riding a taxi, ask the driver if they know where it is and make sure they turn on the meter so that you will not pay a high amount of money.
