Kanchaburi Province, Thailand

Kanchanaburi is a town known as “thesaban mueang” in the west of Thailand, and it is the capital of Kanchanaburi province. It is located where the Khwae Noi and Khwae Yai rivers converge into the Mae Klong river.  And has 130 km from Bangkok. The northern banks of the river is a popular spot for tourist.

How to get there:

From Bangkok

Bus
From Southern Bus Terminal ("Sai Dai"), the buses leaves with an interval of 30 minutes, the last trip will depart at 10:30pm. It takes 2 hours trip. A ticket fee for standard airconditioned bus is 95 baht. It is the easiest way to go from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi.

From Thonburi station in Bangkok, there is a 3rd class trains run along this route and the journey takes 5 hours

Taxi
It is the fastest, but most expensive way to go to Kanchanaburi, It takes only 90 minutes drives and the taxi payment ranges 1,000-3,000 baht.
